Become a Member:
We suggest that if you would like to join us as a potential member that you contact Kim and arrange to come o a couple of meetings to experience what we do and see if you feel that you would enjoy joining the group.
If you do want to join us, please complete the attached forms and return them to Danny at the next meeting you attend with your subscription membership fee.
Carers
As a charity we are aware that the purpose of our group is to give our members ownership and independence from carers where possible. However, we do feel the real benefits of maintaining the relationship and communication with the carers.
To do this we have introduced regular meetings with carers to ensure they are aware of what we are doing with the members in their care and our actions as a club.
Become a Volunteer:
If you have time to give or skills relevant to the work of the Group, you may want to consider volunteering. We understand that it can be difficult to commit to every meeting but we are open for Part time volunteers and those looking to gain work experience with adults who have this type of disability.
We need you as a volunteer to support the activities undertaken by the members. To do this we provide them with opportunities for fun and engagement.
The role takes place at our meeting place 2 Sunday afternoons per month 1.30p – 5pm.
We suggest that if you would like to join us as a volunteer that you contact Kim and arrange to come to a couple of meetings to experience what we do and see if you feel that can offer the support we require.
Become a Trustee:
If you have time to give or skills relevant to the work of a Trustee, you may want to consider offering to join the board of trustees for our group. The experience is rewarding for you as you will have the opportunity to gain valuable knowledge and insight about how charities operate while hopefully taking on new challenges..
We are particularly keen to hear from potential new trustees that have the following experience:
